Sylvia's Story
Life
In High School you knew me as Sylvia
Corson. Mary Blythe and I were "best
friends" and where ever you saw one of us you usually saw the other. All of the girls in our class were very close and always had alot of fun together.
After I finished high school, I worked for awhile and was married. In 1955 we moved to Ohio, my husbands home state. We were married for 37 years before he passed away from lung cancer.
We had 2 children and 7 grandchildren. (I now have 2 great grandchildren also). I have always felt blessed with my family. I have alot to look forward to in the future and enjoy every minute of my life. I really enjoy the reunions and being able to see all the people that I knew from school.
(Update)
I now have another great grandchild on the way,(due in December), and have moved...Expand for more
from Cincinnati to Indiana. I remarried (a former classmate from Mt. Empire) and we now live in Indiana. I love it here and when I need to just relax, I like to take walks or sit on my front porch and enjoy the beauty of the country and watch the "chipmonks". I guess I never got the "country" out of my system.
I remember when my family first moved to Campo, and when school started that year I was in the 3rd grade. My teacher took me out to the playground before school started and introduced me to Mary Blythe. We became life long friends from that time on. Also we were friends of Louella Clark, Lucy Carrillo, Cherie McClelland, Barbara McCoy and many more of the ones that we went thru High School with. That was one great thing about going to a small school--we all seemed to get along great.
